Whilst using a laptop I get an error message saying that there is a ‘Power surge on the USB drive' and the computer won't let me connect the CM2.
Some laptops are designed to limit the USB port current in order to maintain longer battery life. Make sure that there is at least one hour worth of battery life remaining or plug in the laptops power cord. To override this error message go to Start>Control Panel>System>Hardware>Device Manager then Click on the USB Controller. Click on the controller, then Advanced, select "USB not report error to me". Select USB hub, then power management, and select "not allow computer to close the USB port for power saving".
